Rules to Choosing Happiness
We all experience being down sometimes especially when things happen that effect us and seem beyond our control. It can be tough to maintain a positive attitude then however of there are times that we feel low and it isn’t down to anything in particular it is a time to shift the attitude and become purposeful in feeling joy.
The first thing one needs to do when they choose to be happy is choosing to be grateful. You may not be where you want to be but you are not where you could be. Focus on the positive, the fact that you can talk, walk or even read this already places you in a privileged position. Be grateful for what you have.
Smile. Laugh even. I’m sure we have all heard that when we do that we release chemicals that make us feel good. Not to mention that smiling and laughing can be contagious.
Speak positively in your life. Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. That’s what it says in Proverbs 18:21.
This means that if you speak positively then you will start to see positive in your life. Try it and see, I mean how many people have you seen who have spoken negatively and achieved positive results?
Its good to be nice and speak positively to yourself it is also nice to do it to others. Always find a nice thing to say to someone even if you have negative feedback to give; say it so that it is constructive rather than a criticism. Being nice doesn’t cost much but can be so beneficial and it creates a healthy and happy environment.
Keep lists, whether it is tasks for the day, for shopping or even career goals. Once you have a list you have something to refer to to guide you and keep you on track. Keeping a list can free your mind especially when there is a lot going on.
If you are what you eat and you want to be happy then eat foods that can help boost your moods. Bananas, mangos which has vitamin C which helps flight depression and green tea which has a small amount of caffeine that can help boost your moods.
Follow your dreams or pursue that goal. You have been putting it off for too long now, put fear aside and have faith, there is a reason it has become your desire to do it, so just get up and do it.
